DANNY Ford insists there is “no bad blood” with Kyle Newman despite his exit from the team, adding how the club are “more than happy” to host his testimonial.
Poole-born Newman first joined Pirates in 2011 and has had various spells with the club. He was part of the 2023 septet, but was disappointed to be left out for the upcoming season.
He will however have a testimonial meeting at Wimborne Road on Wednesday, March 13.
Pirates promoter Ford told the Daily Echo: “Kyle has been a big part of the club for the past decade.
“We are more than happy to host a testimonial for him.
“Despite him not being in our team plans for 2024, there’s no bad blood between us and we were more than happy to accommodate this for Kyle and I wish him all the best.
“Hopefully we get a good turnout for him.”
