POOLE Pirates reserve duo Sam Hagon and Max Perry have discovered their draw for the British Under-21 qualifier.
The pair, who have been snapped up to be part of Pirates’ 2024 septet, will be number one and two respectively in the event due to take place at Plymouth’s Coliseum on Tuesday, April 30.
Six riders have been seeded straight through to the final, based on their 2023 Championship averages. They include former Pirates Nathan Ablitt and Joe Thompson, as well as Dan Thompson, Jake Mulford, Ace Pijper and Leon Flint.
From the event in April, 10 of the 16 riders will then join them in the final. That field includes 2023 British youth champion Ashton Boughen.
Meanwhile, dates and venues have been confirmed for the opening seven rounds of the 2024 British Youth Championship.
The first comes on Friday, March 29 at Scunthorpe, before rounds at Plymouth, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, Workington and Belle Vue. Dates at Leicester and Redcar are to be confirmed.
