I have seen some great bands recently and tonight I was lucky enough to be able to add Ocean Alley to that list.

The multi-platinum selling Australian band is here in the UK touring their excellent 2022 Low Altitude Living album and drew an enthusiastic crowd to the O2.

We may be half a world away from Bondi beach but with this wonderful weather and the laid-back sounds coming off the stage you could shut your eyes and almost be there.

Opening with Lemonworld, Tombstone and Knees they immediately set the tone for a beautiful evening that flowed smoothly between rock and their very own mellower sound that had the crowd enraptured from start to finish.

Following on with a set list from across all four albums there was something for everyone including a couple of my favourites Yellow Mellow and Deepest Darkness.

As expected, Confidence received the biggest reaction of the night, and it was well deserved as it an absolutely fantastic song that is more than worthy of its one hundred million plus streams.

The evening ended on a real high with Baby Come Back and Touch Back Down from Low Altitude Living.

An excellent evening and yet another band to put on my list to make sure I do not miss them next time around.
